Allen Park Animal Shelter

Mission: To provide humane, compassionate care to at-risk cats and dogs through cooperative partnerships with our citizens, neighboring communities and reputable animal welfare organizations. The Allen Park Animal Shelter has proudly been providing shelter services for 50 years. During this time the shelter's focus has been and continues to be the safe return of cats and dogs to their owners and/or providing a healthy environment until adoption. Please note: the Allen Park Animal Shelter is a rescue-friendly facility and welcomes all rescue groups to walk through during regular hours of operation.

 

The Hours the Allen Park Animal Shelter have changed, effective 1/18/2010.

New hours are as follows:

Monday / Thursday / Friday (10am-3pm)

Tuesday (12pm-3pm)

Wednesday / Saturday / Sunday (CLOSED)

Animal Shelter will now be offering Micro Chip Service.

Starting Monday, 2/22/2010, the Allen Park Animal Shelter will now be offering a micro chip service for pets belonging to the general public. For a flat fee of $35 this includes implantation and complimentary registration by our staff. In addition, there is no Annual Fee or any additional fees from the microchip company.

Microchips are done by appointment only, and are $35 per animal. We are offering this service for cats, kittens, dogs and puppies. To make an appointment, please call the Animal Shelter at 313.382.6173 or email: Kturri@cityofallenpark.org
