The Finance Department provides budgetary, accounting and financial services for all City of Allen Park departments and the Water and Sewer fund. This department is responsible for the City’s annual audit, budget and all other reports required by Council. Other responsibilities include payroll, DPS, accounts payable and receivables.

Biography
Amanda Wertz became Finance Director for the City of Allen Park in July 2020. She began her career with the City in August 2016 in the
position of Deputy Finance Director.
Amanda is a graduate of Wayne State University where she majored in Accounting. She has worked in accounting and audit for 10 years, starting with KPMG as an Audit Associate, working with her main client, the City of Detroit, then with Plante Moran as a Financial Specialist for almost six years, where the City of Allen Park was one of her clients, both prior to Emergency Management and during their Receivership.
She is a member of the Michigan Government Finance Officers Association and the Michigan Municipal League.
Amanda has lived in Allen Park for 10 years and is very proud of her two AP JAGS.
