The Allen Park Police Department has partnered with CodeRED.com to provide real-time alerts and information to citizens. The program is easy to join.
The City of Allen Park will use the CodeRED system for all emergency planning and communications outreach. The system sends telephone calls, text messages, emails and posts to social media channels to alert residents about emergencies that could directly impact your home, business or family.
CodeRED’s will provide Allen Park officials with a reliable, easy-to-use interface to quickly deliver critical information to our citizens. The City anticipates using the system to notify residents of emergency preparedness, evacuation notices, missing persons/children, severe weather, public health crisis, criminal activity, and road closures/traffic alerts.
OnSolve has provided the City an initial database of residential and business telephone numbers; however all residents living within Allen Park city limits are encouraged to visit https://www.cityofallenpark.org/Community/CodeRED-Allen-Park-s-Emergency-Notification-System.aspx and click on the CodeRED logo to enroll their contact information including phone number, cell number for texts, and email address. No one should automatically assume they are in the emergency contact database. It is free to register for CodeRED.
