Biographies

Chief Jeff O'Riley

Chief O'Riley was sworn-in with the Allen Park Fire Department in 1998.  Since that time Chief O'Riley has served the community as a Firefighter/Paramedic, Engineer, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Deputy Chief/Fire Marshal and now as the 14th Chief of the Department. 
Chief O'Riley is a licensed Paramedic, a NFPA Certified Fire Inspector, NFPA Certified Plans Reviewer, and Graduated from the Michigan State Police Fire Investigator Program.  Chief O'Riley serves on the Downriver Fire Investigation Task Force, covering 18 cities.  Chief O'Riley graduated from the Eastern Michigan University’s School of Fire Staff and Command Executive Leadership Program in 2018.  Chief O'Riley is a life-long resident of Allen Park and chose to raise his family in the city. Chief O'Riley's priorities for APFD include quality customer service, cutting edge firefighter training, firefighter safety, and creating a top tier team of firefighter/paramedics.

Deputy Chief Eric Taylor
Deputy Chief/Fire Marshal Eric Taylor was sworn-in with the Allen Park Fire Department in April 2007. Since that time Deputy Chief Taylor has served the community as a Firefighter/Paramedic, Engineer and Sergeant. Deputy Chief Taylor is a licensed Paramedic, an NFPA Certified Fire Inspector and NFPA Certified Plans Reviewer. Deputy Chief Taylor serves on the Downriver Fire Investigation Task Force team, covering 18 cities. Deputy Chief Taylor's priorities for the APFD are to deliver effective, professional fire prevention and emergency response.
