Biography
Mark A. Kibby is the City Administrator. He started with the City of Allen Park on March 26, 2015 as the Interim Assistant City Administrator. He was appointed to the position of City Administrator with the City on September 22, 2015 and confirmed on October 7, 2015. Mark received his Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Detroit Mercy in 1996 and his Master of Public Administration Degree from the University of Michigan – Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies in 1998.
Mark has over 28 years of experience working previously for the City of Woodhaven, the City of Gibraltar, the City of Melvindale, and serving on the Melvindale City Council. He serves on the Wayne Metropolitan Community Action Agency Board of Directors, serves as the Community Sponsor of the Great Lakes Water Authority (GLWA) Communication and Education Work Group, and is a member of the Michigan Municipal Executives (MME), the Michigan Public Employer Labor Relations Association (MPELRA), and the American Public Works Association (APWA) – Downriver Branch.
